The Editor

DeYoung HeadshotUrsula DeYoung, founder of Embark, is a writer living in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her first novel, Shorecliff—a family drama set in 1920s Maine—was published by Little, Brown in 2013. In addition to working as a freelance editor, she teaches budding novelists at the GrubStreet Writing Center in Boston. She has written a series of essays on Neglected Authors, and her latest project is a novel about class and friendship, set in the 1920s and ’30s.
